SEC Fall Agenda and the Cyber Risk Management Rule

The SEC’s Cyber Risk Management Proposal is slated for final action in October 2023 according to the SEC’s regulatory calendar. The final regulation was initially expected to be released in April 2023, but that date was delayed due to the comment period reopening. The SEC highlighted that by reopening the comment period, market participants were provided a chance to comment on recent regulatory developments, such as the outsourcing proposal and the proposed Reg S-P amendments.
